What is ServSafe certification?
ServSafe is a food and beverage safety training and certificate program administered by the National Restaurant Association. The program is accredited by ANSI and the Conference for Food Protection. Sanitation certification is required by most restaurants as a basic credential for their management staff.

How do I get ServSafe certified?
To become ServSafe Food Safety certified, you must pass the ServSafe Manager Certification Exam with a score of 75% or higher. For your ServSafe Certification to be recognized by your state or local health department, you must also meet your local regulatory requirements.

How much does it cost to get your ServSafe?
It all depends. It depends in the type of training your get or the type of course you sign up for. If you decide to go with an in person training that will help your employees make sure they pass the exam, and more importantly that they understand the material and learn and avoid safety violations or allergen problems with your client, send us an email and we will give you a quote. What happens if you fail ServSafe?
You can retest if you did not pass the examination, if your employer requires you to retake the exam, or if your certification is expired. You may take the examination twice within 30 days. If you don't pass your second attempt, you must wait at least 60 days from your most recent attempt before taking the exam again.

What score do you need to pass ServSafe?
What is the passing score for the ServSafe Food Protection Manager Examination? A passing score is 75% or higher. This is obtained by answering at least 60 out of 80 questions correctly. The exam has 90 questions; however there are 10 pilot questions that are for research purposes only.

Do online courses expire?
Yes. Unused courses are valid for one year from the date of purchase. Once a course has been started: ServSafe Food Handler courses must be completed in 60 days. ServSafe Manager and ServSafe Alcohol courses must be completed in 90 days. After a course has expired, a student will not be able to access that course. A new one will need to be purchased. Online courses are not refundable and expiration dates cannot be extended.
